Juan Manuel Barrientos was a special guest at the 31st edition of Chefs Tribute, one of the most important events in New York, at the Rockerfeller Center. Sharing his way with the most important Chefs of the United States, organized by Citymeals. A charity organization that provides food to the poor and low income people in the United States.

For many years Juan Manuel has supported the Bogotá Wine and Food Festival which provides money to the Escuela Taller de Bogotá; an institution which dictates cooking and craft courses to people with few resources.

The foundation is also helping new social causes, especially environmental ones, in conjunction with other foundations such as Amigos del Mar.
